What is Christ Renews His Parish?
The "Christ Renews His Parish" (CRHP) program centers around the renewal
process and stresses a clear focus on the Good News of Jesus Christ. It
emphasizes continued spiritual growth in our daily Christian lives.
What
happens during the weekend?
The weekend is an opportunity to listen and discuss how Christians function in our modern world. It is also an opportunity for individual renewal through Scripture, Prayer, and Personal reflection and connecting with others seeking His Love.
CRHP is open to all St. Thomas of Villanova parishioners ages 21 and older. We also welcome members from our extended Christian community.
When and where does the weekend take place?
There is one weekend for men and one for women. The men's weekend takes place twice a year and the women's weekend is every nine months. The weekend begins at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday and ends around 4:00 p.m. on Sunday.
Will I be able to attend Mass?
The Eucharist will be celebrated Saturday night and Mass will be celebrated Sunday. An opportunity for Reconcilation will be provided for anyone who desires this Sacrament.
Sleeping accommodations are in our new Parish Center. Roll-away beds are provided. You are asked to bring your own sleeping bag, sheets and pillow, along with your own towel, soap and other toiletries that you might need. We will extend every effort to ensure your comfort.
Meals are provided by St. Thomas of Villanova's CRHP Community. There will be regular breaks with coffee, soft drinks and many snacks. We will do our best to accommodate dietary needs.
Casual and comfortable clothing is appropriate for both Saturday and Sunday.
The CRHP weekend is conducted by a team made up of two spiritual directors and a group of people who have attended a previous weekend. This team strengthens their own renewal process by giving of themselves and presenting the weekend to a new group of invites.
The team and CRHP community donate their time, but to help defray the cost of beds, food and materials we ask each participant and team member to donate $50.00, if you can afford the fee. Please do not let the fee stop you from attending if you can not afford it. Everyone is Welcome.
